File Versions
Standard PDFPlates are the FAA issued plates. No
post processing is done other than the PDFPlates compilation and indexing. The
plates are full color where applicable.
Compact files are 1/3-1/2 the file sizes of the original, and
are greyscale.
They are intended for viewing on eReaders and other devices. They still have excellent
resolution and can be a real time saver due to the smaller file size.
Sony files are specially formatted for the Sony
family of eReaders. They are greyscale and have been cropped for better viewing
on the device (whitespace removed).
